Stripes and checks

Woven, never printed

A print sits on top of cloth and wears off it. We dye the yarn before it reaches the loom, so a stripe is structure rather than surface — it softens with every wash instead of fading, and it looks the same on both faces.

It is a deliberately narrow discipline: stripes, a check and a plain, in a short palette chosen to sit together — which is how a bedspread bought five years ago still sits beside one bought last week.
